Gratitude

Daily Acknowledgement in Gratitude

I have found over the years that there is truth behind the gratitude mindset. If you are in a constant state of gratitude for what you have, you quickly realize that what you have is WAY more than enough. In fact, sometimes you realize the excess. At least that has been my experience. I need this mindset in my life as I struggle with my challenges of well-being. Oftentimes, when I am feeling low, I get the urge to BUY things, thinking this will bring me joy, fix what is hurting, or make something better.

The crazy thing is, they are just things and no lasting joy comes from them. Things or trinkets that you can't take with you when you are gone, things that no one really wants when you have passed from this present state of being, or things YOU value that hold no real sentiment for others. Recently, I have seen these things reduced to a pile on a bed to be sorted and sent off to a thrift store or family member in hopes it isn't wasted. Oh, I still believe in buying things at the moment. Sure you should get the trinket if it brings you joy, but with the realization that the thing is not the greatest gift or happiness. For those things that bring the greatest pleasure are not things at all.

This page is an account of what I feel gratitude for as I travel through this life. Sometimes, I just need a place to quickly jot them down, share them in photos, log them in passing, or journal about them in a creative form. I will share these here.
